Shop Beaded Tapestries

Bead tapestries are made by weaving tiny beads on a loom to form a picture. Beads have been used for centuries as ornaments; to embellish fashionable garments; to wear as jewellery; to weave in tapestries; to use as coin; and for many other purposes.

Beading is an ancient craft. Many different nationalities use beads, and beading in one form or another can be found all over the world. In some cultures, it is considered high art.

The beads used for these tapestries are called Delica beads, manufactured by Myuki in Japan.  They are very tiny beads.

Included with your purchase will be a suction cup to hang the tapestry on a window. If you hang your tapestry on a window it will change throughout the day depending on what the outside light is. I do recommend that they not be hung in direct sunlight as some of the colours may fade. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
